My Very First Award!!!

Behold! (Trumpet fanfare, fireworks, balloons)

I have received my very first award! Last week, Sherri at Adventures of a Middle Aged Drama Queen thought enough of me , and I am so very honored. I shared the news with my family, and they looked at me like I'd just been released from the loony bin. Thank you Sherri.

Now, I must tell you 7 things about myself, and pass it along to 7 other bloggers.

About Me...

1. I loooove Reality Shows! If you have a reality show, I'll watch it at least once. If it's not totally disgusting, I'll watch it twice. If it's really good, I'm DVR-ing it, Twittering, and Facebooking about it.

2. I love to grocery shop! I know it sounds crazy, but I do. I like trying to see how much money I can save by ad matching, and using coupons. Who am I kidding, I love it, even when I' m not saving money. My FAVORITE place to shop is Wal-Mart! When I'm done, I love to see my cabinets, and refrigerator full. The most money I've spent in the grocery store is $350.

3. Coca-Cola is my beverage of choice. If I was stranded on an island, and could have one food item, it would be a Coke. I know, it's not a food. It's all I would need to survive!

4. I love the sounds of crickets and frogs. I live near a pond, and a bayou. On a summer night, especially after a rain, the crickets and frogs sing, and I love it! It reminds me of being at my grandparents house in the country.

5. I would love to have a nose ring. If I wasn't 41, with 5 children, (four of them think it's crazy), married to a Deacon, and a college instructor... I'd do it! While in my 20s, I never would have pierced my nose, and was probably totally against it. Now, I think it's way cool. Not a big one, just a little-bitty one.

6. I am obsessed with the smell of clean clothes! I use softener in the washer, and several dryer sheets in the dryer. When I use a towel, I want to inhale, and smile. Mr. Husband's work clothes can not smell like work, after I wash them. They have to be fresh and clean!

7. I've had all the football I can stand and can't stands no more! (That is untill the Super Bowl, and my son's games in the Fall.) We have ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN Classic, ESPNU, and other channels that show high school football, college football, professional football ALL.THE.TIME!

My winners for the Beautiful Blogger Award goes to: Drum roll please...

1. Krystal Grant's Guide to Life
2. Cafe Chic
3. Ask Wifey
4. Cardio Girl
5. Chronicles of A Quater Life Crisis
6. Hanging With Mrs. Cooper
7. Hurstburst

Did you get like a gift certification or something with that award too? I once won one them raffles and got a $10 to Chili's! How lucky that?!

Sorry - no gift certificate! Just some well-deserved recognition - I always enjoy reading your blog!

I am SO with you on Reality TV shows...but, I HATE grocery shopping. Ugh. Luckily, Hubby likes to do that. And I love Diet Dr. Pepper - it would be MY food of choice - before any other drink or food - on a deserted island. Can't live without my caffeine.

And tell your family that you're awesome. They just don't know it yet!

Congratulations!

Sherri

I love Coke too, but I had to stop drinking it because each Coke equals 30 extra minutes on the treadmill.

Oh Lawd! Girl, I think I'm gonna have to lean on the wall to hold myself up. Thank you so much. I feel like I just won the lotto.

The strange thing about all this is that out of the 7 things you told about yourself...4 of them apply to me as well. I am totally in love with reality shows, I am addicted to Coke, I live in Wal Mart and I have had enough of football. We are sisters! Thanks so much for the award. Keep Posting!

Oh, you are such a treasure! I absolutely love reading your blog - it never fails to make me smile. I am chuckling at the thought of you with a nose ring. I say: "be brave!", although I'd never be caught with one myself, lol! :-)

Congratulations! I'm thinking about getting a nose ring for my 46th birthday this year...and I'm married to the Pastor. I say go for it!

Hola La'Tonya,

I'm sooooo super honored. And I totally understand what you're saying about telling real world folk about blogging awards. They look at you like you have three heads or something and totally don't understand your excitement.

I'm doing cartwheels inside because the people around might try to lock me up.

Oh and I love your seven tells...a nose ring that is very very interesting!

his would be another - since you have already posted your things about yourself - feel free to snatch the award - and keep on blogging!

I am passing onto you a tag/award/nod. It is the “Honest Scrap” tag. Please go to my site http://artisanofthehumanspirit.blogspot.com/ to grab it and get the requirements. If you have it already, please accept my apologies. Should you choose to sit this one out, or do not wish to get it – no harm no foul. They can be work, but know that I enjoy passing it on to you! Keep up the good work! Tony

Rondell - No, I didn't get a gift certificate, or anything. Just the award was enough for me!!!

Drama Queen - I will tell my family just how awesome I am, again! They'll more than likely laugh.

Nicole - I'm glad you like my little space. You're welcome to come over and visit anytime!

Anonymous - I hope you keep coming back!

Mocha Dad - Thirty more minutes on the treadmill... I think it's worth my coke. Now if I can just convince Mr. Husband that I can really lose weight, and continue to get my Coke on.

Krystal - Four out of seven, that's more than 50%.

Cafe Chick - Yeah, I'm just playing around with the idea of a nose ring. It's only an idea. I'm 41 years old, and I do believe my mother would kill me.

Deidra - And when you get that nose ring, please post it. I want to see! Then I can show my family. Like I said in the comment to Cafe Chick, my Mom will kill me, if I did it for real! She's afraid of motor cycles, and was totally against my brother, just four years younger. He got it, and hid it from her for a long time. His boys let it slip. LOL

Faith - Go on girl, do your flips! And run if they start coming toward you in a very slow pace. Run like the wind.

Cocoa Mommy - IKR. I've stopped talking to my family about my blog post. My husband has yet to read one. I used to read them to him. The blogospher is my own little world, and I think I like it like that.

Tony - Thank you, thank you, thank you! I feel so loved, two awards. Yippee!
