The past few summers, I've taken tennis lessons with my girls. The 14 and 15 year-olds play for the high school, and represented their school in the State tournament in doubles. I've mostly watched them from the stands, and help them practice.
Last week, I decided 2012 will be the year I get out of the stands and play in a tournament. My 15 year-old has agreed to be my coach, and move me past "just playing," to "really playing." I'm going to be Made into a tennis player!
In my area there's a tournament March 9, that's 10 weeks... 73 days to be exact! I want to be ready to play, not just participate. That picture of Serena Williams in my inspiration... and I'd love to have her arms!
