So why am I holding a duck with puffy hair? There is a good explanation. Yesterday I attended the Bean2Blog event at P. Allen Smith's Moss Mountain Farm, sponsored by the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board.
We learned about the miracle that is soybean, took a tour of P. Allen Smith's Garden Home, ate a delicious soybean incorporated lunch... Halt! Stop right there. Pause... I ate edamame, and tofu!
I've wanted to try edamame for a while, but had made up my mind not to EVER eat tofu. Surprisingly, I love edamame, and the tofu was very good. It was pureed, and served over a baked potato. I never would have never guessed. Hopefully I can share the recipes.
I have so much to tell! Instead of writing one long overview, I'll share my Bean2Blog/Moss Mountain Farm experience in a series of post. In the mean time take a look at the pictures. They are amazing!
This was truly an adventure that has inspired me to spruce up the patio and landscape garden, finally decorate my library, cook edamame for my family, and grow a vegetable container garden. Pray that all that inspiration turns my brown thumb green.
