At 5:30 a.m., I was planning, plotting and pondering what to do, with this stuff on my head called hair. It's Homecoming week on campus, I could get away with a ball cap, and polo shirt, both with the school's mascot.
After taking my son to school, something finally came to me. I could either dress to accent my hair, or dress to distract attention away from it. But how was I to do either?! Time was running out, it was 20 minutes and counting before I had to leave for work.
On a whim I thought about calling in sick. I couldn't do that either. Tonight is Coronation, and my daughter is singing the 'National Anthem.' I can't show up on campus later, after being "sick," all day.
Dashing into the closet like Super Man, into a phone booth, I emerged dressed to distract. I put on slacks, a nice dressy sweater, and boots. I curled my hair, as much as two minutes would allow, making sure crucial sections were curled. I was out the door and headed to work, on time.
This trying to grow my hair out is For.The.Birds! I don't know why I agreed to it! As soon as my stylist can fit me in, it's back to my pixie do.
I know you didn't think I'd actually post a picture of my hair now did you?! HA!

I wouldn't mind a Super Man closet myself for those bad hair days and days when I simply cannot put together a co-ordinating outfit! I am having my (long-ish) hair tidied up tomorrow; it has been a long time since my last haircut, and when it starts looking like a mop ... yep, time to do something about it.
I was begged to work the day after returning from the beach once. My hair looked a hot mess and I dressed like another one. There was nothing I could do to make it better.
Hola La'Tonya
I'm impressed that you have a super man closet...I must invest lol.
Now as a rip raving hair junkie myself I understand your pain. Hair takes up a lot of my morning. It's my vain obsession. If my hair doesn't look a certain way my day is destined to go ape shit on me. This is not a lie.
Right now I am in the growing back process which is very very aggravating. Of course I must pull it out and have posted pics of myself with my long hair as motivation to stay the course. Hang in there sis you're not alone.
YOu brought back memories...I remember that mean old Heat Mizer and his brother. Funny. So Funny.
Sorry, I can't help but laugh at "fighting mad" hair! Sounds like my hair story everyday of my life.
Hugs and Mocha,
