I'm A Reality Show Junkie!

Hi, I'm LaTonya, and I'm addicted to Reality TV.
With the very first season of Survivor, I was hooked! I enjoy mix of reality shows, including Top Chef, Flavor of Love, Project Runway, Making the Band, The Next Food Network Star, Runs House, Keisha Cole, I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Fourth & Long, Tiny & Toya, The Great American Road Trip, More to Love, and I'm sure I'm missing a few. Those too!

My three favorites right now are The Great American Road Trip, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and The T. O. Show!
My family and I want to be on the next season of The Great American Road Trip. We think the Richardson's could kick but! In this week's finale, and the underdogs, the Di Salvatore family won. I couldn't believe it. The team least likely to win, like the tortoise, came from behind and won the whole shabang! The Coote's (Cootie's) got their booties, the family most likely to win LOST!
The first season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, got under my radar. However, the very first episode of season two had me hooked, and waiting for the next. After last week, I decided, Shree, Kim and Nene are not my favorites. They cut up so in that restaurant, I was embarrassed! But not embarrassed enough to stop watching the show. Who doesn't love someone else's drama.

I am favoring Khandi, the new girl. So far, she's more down to earth, and has a level head about herself. That doesn't mean she won't come out of the box real soon though. Like soap operas, the Real Housewives of Atlanta, have characters you love, love to hate, and adore.
Special Report! This just in: Justice Fergie posted today, about the Atlanta Housewives with a clip of Kim's new single, "Tardy for the Party." Head over there and check it out!

The T. O. Show, was a great move on the part his publicists Mo, and Kita. With him trying to change his image, or the public's perception, this show was just what he needed! What better way than show he's not just a mouth with a "Big Ego," attitude, with a chip on his shoulder the size of the universe. He's actually human, with feelings and emotions, real friends! T. O. is allowing us to walk with him, and share his intimate space. I'm seeing Terrel!

A few episodes ago, Terrel visited his grandmother. With all the talking he was doing, she just sat there, unphased by Alzheimer's. His breaking down and crying, had me wanting to hand him a tissue. I was fighting back my own tears. But when she spoke, after not having spoke in years, telling him he'd be alright. I was done for! That day, I became a fan of Terrel Owens, T. O., or whatever he wants to calls himself!
And the show with his father. OMG! I needed a box of tissues. I was looking out the corner of my eye to see if Mr. Husband was crying too.
We're on the go, and the five degrees, (my children), always has a practice, game, rehearsal or meeting. I often miss my shows at their scheduled time. Thank heavens for DVR! That is the best thing since sliced bread, and the cell phone!

Excuse me while I set it to record for tonight!

I. LOVE. The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I love all of them and their craziness although Kim is really getting on my last nerve.

I do enjoy how she wants everything just handed to her on a silver platter.

She wants to make wigs? The heck with learning about it at beauty school. She wants to tell someone what it looks like and then have it produced.

She wants thin thighs? The heck with working out. She'll pay $3,000 to have the fat burned and sucked out.

And then she flips out when her "nanny" left the kids to go buy tampons.

Priceless.

And don't even get me started on Sheree and how much class she has. Especially when she is throwin' down with the party planner.

Boo.Yah.

p.s. Just watched the clip on hulu. I absolutely love that Kim sat in her car bitching to her friend about the nanny instead of driving home to work with her own children.

As my kids would say, "I know right?" Kim wants everything microwaved, in an instant! And of course today being Thursday, it's Real Housewives of Alanta Day. I've already set my DVR to record!

And Kim is supposed to into the studio with Kandi. I can't hardly wait!

Hola La'Tonya,

You make it sound so down right good I actually almost wanna watch...almost. I can't get past the tomfoolery these days. I was way into the Flava of Love mess that I had to watch or I felt like I missed something. After those shenanagans I left reality TV alone...and pretty much TV in general. My roster consists of True Blood and reruns of the Golden Girls. On a occasion I will throw in Operation Repo which is a reality show about a So Cal based family owned reposession team. They go everywhere to repo people's cars, boats and even hot air balloons. It's pretty good as reality television goes.

I also used to be way into Clean House (before the cast kept changing, America's Next Top Model and Project Runway. With Top Model being on session 7million I've lost a lot of interest and I can't remember what day Runway comes on...is it Thursday? I believe it switched networks as well.

But I keep hearing that the Atlanta Housewives bring the drama like no other so maybe I need to give it a whirl...just to see what I'm missing.

I'm big on reality shows too. Even though there's a lot of trash to sift through. Asia's into the whole Housewives of ATL. (She makes me watch it. I don't want to. Honest.)

But that "who gon' check me boo?" line is classic.

Faith - I don't know when you find time to watch TV, you're always off somewhere. Surely you have that wonderful invention, the DVR, TiVo, or what ever they're calling it today.

Mr. Nichols, I can't believe you like that line. Nene and Sheree both say it, "Who gon check me boo." And they say it with all the lip smacking, neck rolling and attitude of the streets!

BanteringBlonde - I can't believe you're not into RHOA - gasp! Even Gayle King watches it. Don't tell me you don't know who Gail is. The day after Wednesday, has been changed to Atlanta Housewives Day!

Speaking from the crib - OMG, you do have a long DVR list. how do you not fill up all of your recording space??? Once I watch the shows I may save it for a few days, and then I erase them. There are a couple of movies, Nanny McPhee, and We are Marshall that we won't erase, and I've saved ALL of the Meet The Browns. I don't know what I'll do when my DVR is full of things I don't want to delete!

I agree with you about the Real Housewives of Atlanta. I was very disappointed in them acting like that in the restaurant. We'll have to see how Kandi is going to turn out. All the other ones rotate from loving and hating each other.
