Picnik Is Closing

Last night I received a text, and this morning the official email,   Announcement: Picnik is closing!
My initial reaction was awww... then what am I going to do? How am I going to edit pictures?

While hanging out on Twitter early this morning, had a Twittersation about the issue. I asked what she planned to do about photo editing.

Waiting for a response, I was thinking... I really don't want to buy Photoshop yet. Then she responded "I'm think I'm going to go with photoshop. I guess the time has come."

I got busy and started looking for options. I've only searched, and haven't explored any of the following.  FotoFlexerLunaPicPixlrBeFunkySplashUp, and Gimp.

Then I came across this post... Online Photo Editing Websites, and a Photoshop/Premiere bundle. Photo editing, and video editing for one price, affordable price! I did see the bundle several weeks ago in Staples, while checking out editing software.

If you are a an avid Picniker... what do you plan to do? The verdict is still out for me, although I am leaning toward the bundle!

Never heard of Picnik. Really understand about purchasing Photoshop as a total package. However, I brought Photoshop Elements 9 last summer. I'm just learning how to use it. I have always used GIMP (free portion). I/we sell things on the internet and I must have something to edit photos, because sells are mostly based upon pictures. Sorry to read they are closing the site. Hope you find a replacement soon. Take care.

I'm an avid Picniker too.. I'm really sad about their closing as well. I really hate it as a matter of fact. I'm also wondering what I'm suppose to do now that Picnik will be over soon. I edit my pictures there all the time even though we have Photoshop. Picnik is quite easy yet my pictures come out beautifully. I don't know what to do yet but it the mean time, I'm taking lots of pictures and editing there ASAP. My old photos that I've posted on facebook, I downloaded it again and fixed them through Picnik before it will close. I'm just doing everything I can before time runs out. Hope that you will also. :(

I use Flickr from Yahoo. They have a free edition but you would want to purchase the unlimited package and I believe it is only $12/year. I love it for slideshows, emailing, easy codes, moviemaker, etc. BUT I am not a professional.

I've heard of Picnik but I'm not into editing. If it comes out looking good, I'll put it on picplz and let it go where it may. I'm sure you'll find the right photo editor for you.
