I Voted!

Actually, I early voted on yesterday! Rain is in the forecast, and I didn't want to be unnecessarily wet!

Mr. Husband and I made it a family thing, we went together to vote. I was confident in who I was voting for in the various races. But when it came to the Amendments... I wasn't so clear on what was being proposed. The first one I was able to make heads or tails out of the jargon, but the other two... Let's just say, it was Chinese to me! That's where my frustration lies.

Why is it a law degree is needed to comprehend the Amendments, additions and changes being voted on, with a Yes or No? I'm a rather intelligent person, but I don't understand legal mumbo-jumbo. GIVE IT TO ME IN PLAIN ENGLISH!!!

Not making the issues understandable to the average person seems a little shady to me. Are they giving me the short end of the stick?! I.don' the short end of the stick! What does it take for politicians to be straight up, and tell me what they really want me to vote for? I feel like they're trying to walk off with all my stuff, and I'm giving it to them.

I plan to explore this issue, find out what can be done. I'll let you know what I find out.

Woot, woot! I plan to vote today too, right after I get out of work. I agree with you in the sense that I'm confident in who I'm voting for, but the nitty gritty stuff is sometimes really complicated and hard to understand.
