On top of Pinnacle Mountain, glasses on top of my head |
Although I've gotten to the point, I really can't see without them. When I go to bed, I put them on the other side of my pillow. As soon as I open my eyes in the morning, I put them right back on. The only time I take them off is to take pictures.

Again... glasses on top of my head |
About 20 years ago, in order to get a discount for a pair of glasses, I had to try contacts. I tried putting them in, in the office, but couldn't get past purposly poking my eyes. Once I finally got them in, it felt gritty... didn't like it at all. I got the discount, and the contacts went in the trash!
Since I was stuck with wearing glasses, I made sure I always found really cute frames. And for the past four years or so, I've just had okay frames. I've decided to step out of my comfort zone, and at my next eye appointment in a couple of months, go with contacts instead!
Yes, my eye exam is in a couple of months, it's going to take me that long to get my nerves up. This year, I'm letting go of fears that have held me back, and jumping in the deep end.
Shoot that reminds me of my fear of swimming in water over my head. One more thing to conquer. I'm up for it!

I wear reading glasses. I thought for one second about contacts and decided against them. That is too close to touching my eyeball. I don't have the stomach for it. Good for you for jumping in feet first!
If reading glasses was ALL I needed, I wouldn't bother! I'm going to be brave and man up! lol
Go straight for the eye surgery. I did it 10 yrs ago and there are no regrets!!
Contacts!! Whoo Hooo. I've worn glasses since I was 14. And when I turned 23 I decided to get contacts. It was very difficult at first. I couldn't imagine sticking something on my eyeball. It took a few days to get used to the feeling of having something in my eye. And it took me months to finally be able to put them in my eyes with ease. But now, after wearing them for 12 years it's nothing..I pop them in my eyes and go. I still have glasses that I wear at home but when I leave the house, it's contacts all the way! Good luck. You can do it.
Girl I know how you feel about glasses. I've been wearing them since I was 6. I've done the whoe contact lens thing too and after a while that gets to be too much work. I don't have the heart from eye surgery. I'm so scared that the bandage will come off and I can'tsee. And that's the one thing that can't be replaced. So I'll stick with my glasses. Short hair is definately you. You could go with or without the glasses.
