On our way to Dodge City we made a detour to Norman Oklahoma, home of Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma University, OU - where Mr. Husband went to college.
Finally, he got the opportunity to show me and the kids around. We saw the stadium. It was the 4th of July weekend, and not many people were hanging around campus.
We also got a chance to see where the football guys hangout, which was really great. I took really cool pictures, but Mr. Husband is shy about having his likeness on the Internet.
While in Dodge City, we visited Boot Hill Museum. That was really fun. They were having a 4th of July, celebration honoring the men and women of our armed services. Although there were no fireworks, because of the burn ban, shots still rang out.
After the Cowboy Band played, Can-can girls danced, and all the Independence Day formalities were over, we were treated to an old fashioned gun fight. After shots were exchanged three, of twelve men and a woman was left standing.
Of course I took pictures...
